well!- our third lesson was a lot of fun………….
But first things first.
Our prayers were required to be sent that we were going to receive an internet connection.
We have had a lot of difficulty with our internet connection for about 18 months now. The trouble lies with Telstra. Now if you are an Aussie you will be able to sympathise with us immediately. In Australia, Telstra has a monopoly on the internet communications systems. Unfortunately their customer service often falls short of being satisfactory. We have been lodging complaints for what seems like forever with no help. Eventually a technician came out about 6 months ago and he couldn’t find the problem. So that was of no help to us. Back we went to lodging complaints for another 6 months. The same technician turned up a couple of days ago. He greeted us by telling us that Telstra had old cable in the area and he couldn’t fix the problem. Now we are extremely reasonable folk however we were finished with being “nice guys”. We POLITELY insisted that this technician do his job and fix the problem. Something we said in our POLITE dialogue triggered a response. By the end of the day we had some new cable.
Despite reassurances that the new cable will do the job our long history of not knowing when we are going to be blessed with a connection still lingers with us. Thus the prayers!
Anyway our lesson started. Mark unmuted us and Allan decided to blow his nose just at that moment har! har! So that’s how we introduced ourselves to everyone in the group -with this sound echoing down the line. Then one of Mark’s learning slides decided it wanted to keep pushing in and not wait its turn. Mark then had to give us a coffee break (which we were hanging out for anyway) while he sorted out this slide and put it back in sequence. But all of this gives us a laugh and adds to the camaraderie that we have on the webinars.
Basically, Mark Terrell knows how to make money online and in his coaching newbies course he tells us how he does it. It’s easy. We don’t have to re-invent the wheel – we just have to follow his instructions.
Mark gave us a great list building ebook today to give away to build our list. There is also list building – the fast track system, this grabs our attention.
In internet marketing we hear so much about THE LIST. However we have been told repeatedly by Mark that there is much more to having a list than merely collecting names. What is the point of having a big list if people don’t want to buy from you? And what he tells us just makes so much sense. Think of the reasons why you buy from someone and this is something we can relate to so much. Most often it is because we feel we can trust the person. As internet marketers our job is to prove that we are trustworthy people to our subscribers. It is absolutely critical that we always conduct our business online with honesty and integrity. This works offline and it is no different online.
This morning Mark has given us our next lot of homework. So far we feel very comfortable about it all because we get so much support from him.
